Southern Arizona Work Space opens in July and August behind Exo

A new venue for events will open to the public behind Exo Roast Co and Tap & Bottle at 403 N 6th Ave (entrance on 7th Street).
Southern Arizona Work Space (SAWS) is an initiative launched by Doug and Amy Smith of Exo Roast Co.
Southern Arizona Work Space begins from the premise that stronger, healthier communities result when people work together in a spirit of purpose toward diversity, resiliency, and durability. Through lectures, workshops, and other events, SAWS will aim to enhance locally grounded knowledge and the “know-how” necessary for living in a changing Southern Arizona.

The new space is open and airy with no shortage of tables (for those who have found themselves frequently without a seat at Exo). A small kitchen will provide additional fare and an expanded drink menu. The space will open fully to the public in mid-late August.

In the meantime, we will be starting our lecture series this July and August.
The roster for late summer at SAWS includes lectures by John Slattery (Desert Tortoise Botanicals), natural historian Tom Vandevender, and Louise Misztal of Sky Island Alliance. Additionally, SAWS will feature workshops sponsored by Food Conspiracy Co-Op, Spanish classes, book clubs, and music (even a quilting bee is in the works!)
